Who we are

SpinDeWheel (spindewheel.com) is a free website with spinning wheels, random pickers and party games. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the website and what choices you have. It applies to the website only. Our mobile app has its own privacy policy, linked from its Google Play listing.

No accounts, no sign-in

You can use every tool on SpinDeWheel without creating an account. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or password, and we have no user database.

Data saved on your device

Some features save data in your own browser so they keep working when you come back. This data stays on your device. It is not sent to us, and we cannot see, recover or delete it for you.

• Spin the Bottle: player names, photos you upload and your own truths and dares are kept in the page's memory only. Photos are read on your device and never uploaded. Everything is cleared when you reload or close the page.
• Downloads: when you download a result from the Share menu, the file is created on your device and nothing is sent to us.
• Saved wheels are not backed up. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing or switching device or browser means saved wheels are gone, and we can't restore them.

Please don't put sensitive personal information (such as health details, ID numbers or other people's private information) on a wheel. Anyone using the same browser can see saved wheels.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they use and which features work well. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, your browser and device type, your approximate location and how you arrived at the site. We also send a few anonymous events, for example when someone taps a "Get the app" link or closes an ad. We do not send the contents of your wheels, player names or results to Google Analytics.

Advertising

SpinDeWheel is free because it shows ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance and, where allowed, show ads based on your visits to this and other websites.

• You can turn off personalized ads in Google Ad Settings.
• You can opt out of personalized ads from many providers at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.
• If you report or close an ad on our site, we only record that it happened and the reason you chose, not who you are.

Server logs

Like any website, our hosting provider automatically receives technical information when your browser loads a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix errors, and is kept only for a limited time.

Sharing and social buttons

Share buttons are plain links. Nothing is sent to a social network until you click one. When you do, the network receives the page address and the share text, which can include the wheel name and your result, and handles it under its own privacy policy. "Copy link" only copies text to your clipboard.

When you email us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to fix the issue you raised, and we delete it when it is no longer needed.

Children

SpinDeWheel is a general-audience website and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and nothing typed into a wheel or game is sent to us. Teachers and parents can use the tools with children; the ads shown are served by Google. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

• Delete saved wheels: remove them from your saved wheels list, or clear this site's data in your browser settings.
• Block cookies: use your browser settings. The tools still work, but saved wheels need browser storage to be allowed.
• Analytics and ads: use the opt-out links above.

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the use of your personal information. Because we don't keep accounts or user records, we usually have no personal information about you to return. Data collected by Google Analytics and AdSense is controlled through Google's tools linked above. For any request, email us at support@spindewheel.com.

We do not sell your personal information.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Because your wheels stay in your browser, the best protection is keeping your device and browser secure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Changes to this policy

If we add features that change how data is handled, such as accounts or online saving, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
