What is the Kiss Marry Kill wheel?
It's a spinner for the classic party game. Players get three options and must give each a different fate: kiss, marry or kill. The wheel makes the call for you, so nobody has to defend a choice they didn't make.
"Kill" is make-believe here. In the game it just means "the one that goes." You can swap it for a milder word, and the next sections show how.
Why use a wheel instead of choosing?
Choosing is the usual way to play, and it works. A wheel changes the game in three ways:
- It removes the pressure. Nobody has to pick a favorite in front of the group.
- It surprises you. Your top choice might get "kill," and that's where the laughs come from.
- It settles ties. Two people can't agree? Spin and move on.
Play it your way
Both styles are fair game:
- Spin to decide. The wheel assigns the fates. Players react and explain.
- Choose, then spin. Everyone picks first, then you spin and compare how close you were.
Keep it friendly
The game works best when everyone is in on the joke.
- Skip real people in the room, classmates, coworkers and exes.
- Stick to fictional picks, food, places or objects if you don't know the group well.
- Anyone can say "pass." Nobody has to explain why.
- The game is meant for teens and adults. For younger players, use the school-friendly version below.
Tamer versions for school or work
Rename the three outcomes and keep the same mechanic:
- Kiss Marry Avoid: swap "kill" for "avoid."
- Keep, Trade, Toss: good for objects and snacks.
- Hire, Train, Pass: a light icebreaker for teams.
- Visit, Move, Skip: works well with cities and countries.
How to use the Kiss Marry Kill wheel
- Enter three options. Type names, foods, places or anything else into the entry boxes.
- Spin the wheel. Press spin. The wheel lands on Kiss, Marry or Kill for the first option.
- Repeat for the rest. Spin again for each remaining option. Each fate is used once per round.
- Talk it out. Share your reaction and defend or dispute the result.
- Start a new round. Clear the entries and add three more.
Ways to use the Kiss Marry Kill wheel
- Parties and sleepovers. Easy to start, needs no setup, and works with any group size.
- Icebreakers. Use food or places so nobody feels put on the spot.
- Road trips and waiting rooms. One phone, one wheel, a few rounds.
- Streams and group chats. Post a trio, let the wheel decide, and let viewers argue.

Tips for a better game
- Pick trios with a real tension. Three equally good or equally bad options make for flat rounds. Mix one you love, one you tolerate and one you dislike.
- Make players explain. The reasoning is the best part.
- Agree on rules first. Settle what "marry" means and what happens with a pass before the first spin.
- Take turns choosing the trio. Everyone gets a say in the topic.
- Add a respin rule. Allow one respin per player per game to keep it light.
- Know your crowd. If you're unsure, use the tamer versions.
