Dice Roller 1-6 – Spin a Random Number from 1 to 6

Roll a virtual six-sided die. Every number from 1 to 6 appears twice on the wheel, so each one has an equal 1-in-6 chance for board games, classrooms and quick decisions.

How does the dice roller 1-6 work?

The wheel shows the numbers 1 to 6, each one twice, on 12 equal slices. Press spin and the wheel stops on one number. Because every number has the same number of slices, each one has a 1-in-6 chance (about 16.7%), the same as a fair six-sided die.

Every spin is independent. Rolling a 6 does not make a 6 more or less likely next time.

How to roll the die

  1. Press spin. The wheel turns and slows to a stop.
  2. Read the number under the pointer. That is your roll.
  3. Spin again for the next player or the next roll. Previous results appear in the winners list.

When to use a virtual die

  • Board games. Lost the die from Ludo, Monopoly or Snakes and Ladders? Spin instead.
  • Classroom maths. Roll 30 times, tally the results and talk about probability and why small samples are uneven.
  • Quick decisions. Number six options, spin, and do whatever comes up.
  • Online game nights. Share your screen so every player sees the same roll.

Need two dice or a different die?

Spin twice and add the results for a two-dice total from 2 to 12. For other dice, such as a d20, edit the numbers on the wheel. Keep every number on the wheel the same number of times so the odds stay equal.

Frequently asked questions

Is the dice roller 1-6 fair?

Yes. Each number from 1 to 6 has two equal slices, so each has a 1-in-6 chance on every spin, the same as a fair die.

Why does each number appear twice?

Twelve slices make the wheel easier to read and spin. Because every number appears the same number of times, the odds do not change.

Can I roll two dice?

Spin twice and add the two numbers. The total ranges from 2 to 12, and 7 is the most common result, just like with real dice.

Can I change the numbers?

Yes. Edit the entries to make any die you need. Keep each number on the wheel the same number of times to keep the odds equal.

Is it free?

Yes. No download and no account. Open the page and spin.
